Life in pictures lately...

We hit Connor Prairie...again... I know...we go there a lot. :D
Noah thinking through his SOS signal...

We had free tickets to use for this ballon ride... so up we went...

 Gi looking for sheep
 making creamed eggs 1800s style
They play this game at home with green army guys too :D

Saturday morning at Ignite-connecting with a break out session with college aged crew of guys
finally tearing out carpet downstairs and putting in hard floor...
Boom!  Done in about 48 hours.  Poor Phil (who moved in with us for a bit and is staying in the basement while finishing up classes at IU) we tore the carpet out right out from under him one night right before he was ready to go to bed. :P haha
 Gi approves...
I started tutoring with CC in late August and it's been keeping me on my toes.  I feel like I'm in college again with all the prep work and learning Latin declensions.  :D
Noah with puffy cheeks from wisdom teeth extraction for his braces work-poor guy
Learning to draw the world map to scale one week at a  time from memory...this is wild stuff people.  I keep telling them they can do it...and they keep at it. :)  It's pretty easy to tutor determined kids. :)  I'm really enjoying this Challenge A as part of our school year.

stick bug in our yard :)  The creek seems to draw all kinds of crazy bugs...like misquotes :P ha
new found crazy obsession with tri-folding stuff in my drawers...

 shoe box...
 before...
 After...
There is a mud hole in our back hard...we need to plant grass there asap...the mud pies are out of control... I think it's why I started tri-folding tank tops in my drawers....for balance of chaos to order.
 Gi goes to the zoo...
finally got to see the orangoutangs! :D yay!
waiting for the eclipse...it was amazing.  We sang the doxology with some of our neighbors. :D Special memory.

Loved the recap! So is that map what the boys are doing, or what your challenge A class is up to currently? Now the blob mapping is starting to make sense... I was going to ask how you enjoyed teaching, so I'm glad you mentioned it!

That is Challenge A map practice. They add capitols and key features like mountain ranges too as time allows. They are supposed to work on their maps for an hour and get as much review and drawing in as possible. :) I've enjoyed tutoring a lot! I'm a bit swamped with Latin but it's still be very enjoyable and i'm liking the stimulation of it all.

Isn't the Orangutan exhibit at the Zoo so cool?! Looks like you've guys been keeping busy and having fun! The map challenge looks interesting! Do the kids have to start over every time or do they add on each hour?
