Life in pictures...

This little trooper went to visit my mom for one-on-one time for a few days.
But the trip got cut short by a car accident.  Very glad/blessed that he was/is okay.  He was calm after the accident until he couldn't get the door open to get out and the powder from the airbags was everywhere and he thought it was smoke.  My brother was driving ahead of them so he got him out of the car as quickly as possible which really helped keep him more calm.  He still got an ambulance ride to the hospital and an IV because he started shaking from shock.  Little sweetie.  He didn't want to take off his hospital band because he "wants to remember it."  I guess he won't be too emotionally scarred for life based on that.  The EMS team gave him a teddy bear too which he named buttercup.  So impressed with the care he received.   My dad says "buy Audis". ;)  As bad as the outside of the car looks, the inside looked pretty intact and like a bag of marshmallows with all the curtain airbags.  The other car looked much worse and the driver was in pretty bad shape sadly.  I think he's stable now but had punctured lungs and a badly broken arm.
The day after...he didn't want to change out of his shirt with a sticker on it from the hospital...he slept for about 4-5 hours during the day which is quite abnormal for him.
Moving on to other crazy drama...Luke and Caleb went up to the Michigan cottage to landscape and Laura and I joined forces with the younger kiddos while they were away.  This possum chose to invade our garage while the boys were gone.
We had just put on face masks to relax...ha...funny.  The possum (whom we named Leroy) had other plans for our evening.
We put on boots and used all manner of tools to shoo the thing out of the open garage door, but it wouldn't go.  It just sunk further and further into the corner like it wanted to die.
Look at it's face in response to all our screaming...it really was preferring the grave at this point...
We finally pealed it off the wall with a piece of plywood and it tumbled outside.  The next morning, we headed off to Conner Prairie for the morning and saw this right outside our subdivision.  A dead Possum that wasn't there the day before.  It has to be Leroy.  Our screaming drove him to insanity and he threw himself in front of the first car he could find. ;)  Poor thing....but i'm kind of glad he's dead at the same time.
unfazed by the sudden death of Leroy...we arrived safely at the living history museum :)  Will's shoes are indeed on the wrong feet. :)
 Making a canoe...
 petting a new calf
Gi wouldn't pet anything...she kept saying "bite you...bite you..." haha

 Dipping candles...

Gi drank some of the chlorine/bleach water in this splash area and later had a dreaded bad diaper as a  result.  Quick, find the probiotics! :)  Blah...

And a few garden shots...the basil from last year reseeded itself. Yay
I'm starting to add flowers to my garden,  this is a white hydrangea bush. :)  I planted sunflowers too (seen behind the bush) and then realized that the clump of volunteer starts in this bed before where sunflowers not cucumbers.  We feed the chickens sunflower seeds, so I should have figured that out faster. ;)
 Some more perennial flowers...
green beans should starts producing soon...
It's been raining a lot, the tomatoes are growing like crazy...
 cabbage and carrots :)
baby cucumber :)  It think these starts are really cute for some reason. ;)
