A quote worth pondering...

Luke read this and said he didn't really get the point, which made me wonder what others thought when reading it.  I thought it was talking about the worry we burden ourselves with over things that will never happen in our lives....
Or, the other way to look at it, was the effort and energy to guard ourselves from evil to the point of pain actually prevents the evils and they never happen.  I'm more convinced of the first interpretation as far as what Thomas Jefferson was getting at. =)
